Nipclub's African Safari

Welcome to 
 #Nipclub Monthly's African Safari Diner page!


We are going to have such a great time on our Safari! Just think of all the wonderful places we will see!
 Mt. Kilimanjaro, The Serengeti Plains, Lake Victoria!
 I hope you have all brought your cameras!!

Kaito and I will have many traditional African dishes, plus a lot of our regular Nipclub favorites.
We hope you enjoy the food!

There are many influences on African cooking, Asian, Indian, and Arabian combined with the foodstuffs available in the different parts of Africa. We'll have several African dishes, with a #Nipclub twist!

Enjoy!

 Fresh fruit is a very common dish in Africa, with many fruits growing there. It is very tasty on a warm day. We have Papaya, Banana, Pineapple, Oranges, Melon, and Passion Fruit for your tasting pleasure!
Curried Chicken and Banana Spices are a very important component of most African foods. Ours has just a hint of Coconut
Bacon! Wrapped Scallops! Very tasty. Seafood is an important staple on the coast of Africa. Ours are served beautifully on the half shell


Thinly sliced Roast Beef with Hearts of Palm, Asparagus and flavored with a Corriander sauce

Yum! Pineapple Au Gratin! Hollowed out then filled with a tasty mix of Pineapple, Coconut, Cashews, and Bacon! then broiled til slighty crispy.

BBQ'd meats are very popular in Africa.  Often marinated in Lime and spicy! Our BBQ Chicken is sure to hit the spot

 Green Papaya Chutney from Tanzania, slightly spicy and goes wonderfully with BBQ!
St. Louis Style Ribs, served with Campfire Ranch Beans, Green Beans and Okra












 Of course we have Fried Lasagna! It's the anipals favorite treat!
Tanzanian Tacos! Yep, tacos are a favorite in Tanzania!! Not too different than what you would find in the States, slightly spicy ground beef with a corn, chick pea, and tomato relish, a dollop of goat cheese sauce, and served with a sweet BBQ sauce on the side. Ours are served in Tostada shells!

A big favorite in Africa is Sweet Potato Casserole or Pudding. Ours is graced with an anipal favorite ~ Bacon!



Chipsi Mayai is another African favorite. Scrambled eggs and "chips", or more recognizable to Americans as French Fries! Cooked with onions and a touch of corriander and chili powder. 

Found on every dining table in Africa ~ Ugali

It is usually made from white cornmeal, eaten by hand, and dipped in various sauces. There is also a version made from ground Peanuts and Millet, which is usually spicy
Our Chicken Bacon! and Ham Club Sandwich, just the thing to pack in a picnic lunch when you go out on Safari to see all the animals of Africa

Fried Chicken! N'awlins style or if you're brave, African !! With a touch of Orange, Clove, and Chili in the batter!

Yum! Fire roasted ears of corn! With Bacon! Double yum!!

Tasty Black Peppercorn and Macadamia Nut encrusted Tuna Steak. Flame broiled to perfection!
A little bit of an Oriental influence here. Black Sticky Rice and Coconut pudding with just a touch of Cardemon and Brown Sugar flavoring, served with Grilled Pineapple. Drizzled with a Tanzanian Honey and Coconut sauce ( recipe here )

Nyizi Nyama A Tanzanian Beef and Banana Stew, served with Michicha, Spinach cooked with Peanuts and Coconut! And plenty of Ugali to soak up the juices!

How about a tasty Bacon! and Bourbon Sour? Just the thing after a long day of viewing wild animals
Of course we have #Nipclub's famous  CatnipSalmontini!

We have many fruit based cocktails. Here's our Melon and Lime Meowjito.

How about one of our Lavender and Tea infused Vodka Catinis, or a Pear and Cinnamon Barkarita?

Konyagi is a Rum like spirit made in Tanzania. We will be featuring it in our rum cocktails for our African Safari!

Made with Konyagi, White Cherry Liqueur, Grapefruit juice and a splash of Lime
How about a Blue Nile?
 Konyagi and Blue Curacao straight up.
Or a Nile Headwaters,
 Konyagi, Blue Caracao, and Orange juice over ice

Another African specialty ~
Amarula
Made from the fruit of the Marula tree, it's a tasty Cream Liqueur with citrus and chocolate like flavors
The Amarula Colada made with Amarula Cream, Pineapple juice, Creme de Coconut, and blended with a scoop of vanilla Ice Cream

The Amarula Sunset Safari made with equal parts Amarula, Amaretto, and Grand Marnier, a sprinkle of Cinnamon and then garnished with a cinnamon stick and orange slice

Our tasty Carmel Appletini, sure to hit the spot!
Our Gingersnap ~ made with Bailey's and Ginger flavored Brandy then blended with ice. Served with a plate of Gingersnap cookies!


 Our Frozen Russian ~ Mixing Bailey's, Vodka, and Chocolate Liqueur then blended with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream


A special African Beer often used for special occasions such as weddings, Mbege is made from fermented Bananas and  Millet Seed. We have both the traditional style and our own style, with the addition of Bacon!
It wouldn't be a pawty without Hank's Bacon! Beer. In a frosty mug, or a chilled bottle, either way it's tasty!

Cashew Juice Slushie Cashew juice? How do you get juice from a nut? You don't, you get it from the Cashew apple!! With a combination of Mango and Grapefuit-like flavors ours is mixed with Coconut milk for a refreshing taste on a warm afternoon.






Many nuts grow very well in Africa, so we have bowls of Cashews in our bar. Help yourself!

Remember that Cashew Apple? Both the nut and the apple grow on the same tree! That's the "nut" at the bottom

Fresh fruit juices are very popular in Africa, where they are refered to as Squash. We have many varieties available, Orange, Passion fruit, Pomegranate, Pineapple and Banana to name a few, all served cool and refreshing over ice.

Banana Bacon! Milkshake Yeah, you know you want one!













What could be cooler on a hot day on the savannah that a Jello Fruit Slice? In all your favorite flavors

Another taste treat on a warm African afternoon, our Hank's Bacon! Root Beer Float!
Served with two generous scoops of Vanilla Ice Cream
A float a little too filling? Of course we have Hank's Bacon! Root Beer by the frosty bottle!
Our Cinnamon Spiced Orange Squash Oranges and many spices are popular in Africa with the influence of many cultures from the East and West. Cool and refreshing!

Our Coffee Bar







Coffee and Tea are grown in many places in Africa, especially in Tanzania on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro

Ready for a nice cup of Coffee? We have blends from all over Africa! Kenyan, Tanzanian, and Arabica from East Africa. Just let us know your pleasure!

And of course! We can serve your coffee in a Bacon! Coffee Cup!

We have several tasty Cappucinos! Plain or flavored with Clove or Cardemon

What could be taster on a warm afternoon than a Cinnamon Macadamian flavored Iced Coffee?

A very British treat in a former British colony, High Tea! We'll have several favorite sandwiches and sweet treats!

Hot or Iced, the Tea of Africa is hard to beat! Especially when served with Tanzanian Honey! Let us know how you would like yours!
